LightSearch is a javascript search script optimized for client-side offline use, for example fast search and display of document and media file descriptions, small dictionaries (multilingual support available), etc. It can also be used on the web as long as the database doesn't get large and result in long page load times.
IMPORTANT NOTES: LightSearch was tested with IE 6, Firefox 1.5, Konqueror 3.2.3. It should work with later versions of these browsers and with some earlier ones. A person with at least basic knowledge of HTML tags is required to create the database, able to follow the instructions on how to make entries in the data file.
The author of the script is available for hire on freelance activities related to LightSearch, including code optimizations, data entry, interface and graphics design. You can purchase the script by sending $5 to sinsky@abv.bg at PayPal or Moneybookers.
LightSearch is currently featured on scriptsearch.com and scripts.com.
